Running a pool league usually means a spreadsheet for standings, a group text for reminders, and someone manually chasing people down about who's paid. None of that is fun to manage, and it's easy for things to fall through the cracks. I built The Pool League Manager to take that off someone's plate — schedules generate automatically, standings update live as scores are entered, and entry fees are tracked at a glance. The part that mattered most, though, turned out to be communication: players get a text reminder before their match and can just reply YES, NO, or LATE right from their phone — no app, no login. They can also text in anytime for standings or their schedule. The product started as just scheduling and scoring. The two-way texting piece became central once it was clear that was the actual daily pain point for whoever's running the league — so it grew from a nice-to-have into the core of the product.
