The Optimism Engine is a dual-mode CBT intelligence layer built for individuals and mental health professionals. - Reflect Mode: Structured cognitive journaling that detects distortions, maps emotional intensity, and surfaces deeper “Iceberg” core beliefs for guided reframing. - Assist Mode: Paste a client message and receive structured pattern detection, escalation signals, and clinician-calibrated reply guidance.

Most AI bots generate empathetic responses. This system identifies the cognitive distortion driving the message and guides structured reframing.
I built this after noticing how generic AI responses often feel too long, too clinical, or too vague for real emotional situations.
Instead of a chatbot, I built a structured cognitive engine with two modes:
Reflect – Turns raw thoughts into mapped distortions, emotional intensity signals, and guided reframing layers (Iceberg model included).
Assist – Converts client messages into structured signals, risk-tier tiers, and tone-controlled draft replies.
Try it live if you're curious:

• Assist (client triage): https://optimism-engine.vercel.a...
It’s not conversation-first.
It’s signal-first.
