The Opinionated Guide to React

Sara's done an amazing job condensing her years of experience on complex projects into something you can use to navigate the React ecosystem. Not only that, but you just have fun reading this book and learning from the examples. There are not that many programming books out there that will make you laugh while reading them and actually teach you something more complex, like how to understand how specific React hooks work under the hood. I appreciate that Sara didn't write a book for beginners, but for people who are in the position of making these technology choices (whether for their side projects or company apps). 10/10, Congrats Sara!

Only a couple of chapters into this amazing book and I cannot wait to learn more from Sara. With years of design and coding behind me ( I am getting on ) I am new to React and loving this journey. But, there are so many 'gotcha's'. Sara's book is so refreshing and fills such a huge gap. This is pure expert knowledge delivered so eloquently and with humour ( which I love ). Even a seasoned React pro would learn from this superb knowledge and expert opinion. Thank you, Sara. This is helping me more than I could ever imagine in navigating my study into React. Please write more... 10/10

This book was a huge source of knowledge as I transitioned from native to web development. Not only it is hilarious, but it's also a deep analysis of React subjects. What I love the most are, as from the title, all the opinions described in this book, and their rationale. Sara doesn't impose anything, instead she shows pros and cons of many alternatives, and gives tools to the reader to build their own opinions.

Full of great insight and very well written! Honestly if the ONLY thing you learned was about Overmind it would be worth the price of admission and I KNOW you will get a lot more out of it! 100% would recommend ;)

I finished this book just this morning and throughly enjoyed it. Sara breaks down React in a very accessible way and given her sheer throughput of putting useful things into the world in the past couple of years using React, her opinions come from battle-tested experience.
