Well Yahoo piqued my interest when they launched a digital travel magazine last April. I came on to help launch it and create a content platform where we could talk about how real people travel. Since then we have grown it to one of the largest travel sites in the world...but more importantly we get to tell amazing stories and inspire people to travel. I have also gotten to report on some amazing locations.
The book was inspired by my decade working in the tech industry and by my co-writer Lucy leaving magazines to work in start-ups. Lucy could barely turn on her laptop and she was surrounded by digital wizards. We wanted to tell a story of what it feels like to be a wickedly confident and successful person thrown in the deep end of tech and scared to death because they have no idea what they are doing.
