@tycrollins Interesting. I think I've posted 2 (maybe 3) kickstarter projects. I didn't know the founders of any of them. Purely a find and "hmmm, this seems cool for PH folks" thought.
Hard to say lots of the apps, services, etc, couldn't have the same paid-to-post issue though. No?

@iwearyourshirt I do not mean my comment as a zing or downgrade to the product, as this looks great & I will probably purchase.
I guess the problem lies with PH. There should be a "beta / pre-launch" section so that it is more clear. On desktop there is the small icon but not mobile.
With kickstarter projects, I feel the same as if I posted an idea and linked to my "funding / PR" page prior to being live. Just seems like a pr move for funding to make a "product"real.

@iwearyourshirt additionally, there seems to be users who have auto post features that do not need to go through the algorithm or peer review process, so when these users post to the home page a funding site it raises suspicions. Not toke any claims, as you are a very respected member of the tech community, and I believe this is a cool product posted for the purpose of enjoyment for us PH folks.
I just really think (& it very well may just be me) think PH needs beta section & more transparency.
@tycrollins no zings taken Tyler! I totally understand where you are coming from. I think @rrhoover is well aware that as PH gets bigger, it's only going to get harder to moderate and filter what products show up where. I do agree that a beta/pre-launch section might be a great way to handle this type of stuff.

@iwearyourshirt glad it was heard with open ears! Your a star! I do not envy the position @rrhoover is / will be in as this grows. I understand the difficulties of growing a community, whilst preserving quality. I'm sure he will do great and we will all be happy! P.S. big fan/follower of your work, read & learned many many things from you lol
