@kyrylosilin there are four levels on which you can positively impact the world as a designer from least to most impactful: 1. “Doing good” initiatives (team/company volunteering days, recycling programs, charity drives, etc) 2. Product and business initiatives — making positive changes through your company’s product or business. For example, this could include initiating features indicating the potential sustainability impact of users’ choices made within your product (like Kayak showing which flights have a higher CO2 impact). 3. Earning to give — maximizing your income to be able to donate a meaningful amount to effective charities. 4. Working for an organization trying to solve a highly critical problem for humanity. In the book, I do a deep-dive into each one explaining how you can do it, case studies including from my own experience, showing how to find companies that solve meaningful problems, etc.
