Hey everyone 👋
I built The Caferoom Company because I kept struggling with the same thing every "focus" app promised to fix but never quite did: I didn't need another to-do list yelling at me, I needed to feel like I wasn't sitting alone trying to get things done.
So this is a digital café you pick a room (right now there's a cozy library-style Conservatory and a South Indian hill-station café inspired by Coorg, more coming), sit at a table, and quietly focus alongside other real people doing the same thing.
No chat, no pressure just ambient presence, a timer, and the occasional "quiet toast" if you want to silently cheer someone on.
Alongside that there's a daily journal, gentle habit tracking, and a companion pet that hangs out with you while you work — all built to feel calm rather than like another productivity dashboard guilt-tripping you about your streak.
This is genuinely early. The café and timer are live and free to use habits, notes, and analytics are still rounding into shape, and pricing is just rolling out (early users get founding-member pricing, permanently, as a thank-you for showing up now).
I'd love to know: what's the thing that usually breaks your focus, and does sitting with strangers (quietly!) actually help, or does it feel weird?
Genuinely asking this whole thing is built around a bet that ambient company helps, and I want to know if that's true for you too.
Thanks for being early. Pull up a chair. ☕
