Hello everybody! I built TheBaseballMap because I wanted to be able to visualize all locations of professional baseball teams and stadiums in the United States. I got some great feedback and am happy to share version 2 with you. You can filter by level (MLB, AAA, Independent League, etc), view how minor league teams are spread out in relation to their MLB affiliate, and even check out satellite images of the stadiums. I'm hoping to add more historical landmarks such as locations of past stadiums or interesting baseball events, so feel free to submit a location on the site!
@dcoates Thanks! I couldn't find a data set that specifically matched everything I was looking for, so I ended up manually entering all of the data, pulling the locations from wikipedia, and manually finding the coordinates when the stadium was not listed. The descriptions are being pulled directly from the Wikipedia API (of sorts). All of the satellite pictures are courtesy of the Google Maps satellite image view API. Currently when a user submits a location to be added, it's really just an email for me to manually add it, which does not scale, for obvious reasons. If there is enough interest in the site, however, I'll be looking into building up a backend/admin and automating user submissions to be added to the map.
I should add that anyone who would like the data can ask and I'd be more than happy to share what I have!

Might be a bit niche but I would totally love this. Thanks for thinking of this.
@tech_hound Hey Jeffrey, it's still on my website, just under a different URL : http://alexgreene.me/thebaseball... (It hasn't been updated at all but it's still fun to play around with) I'm curious how you came across this page- were you searching for baseball apps on ProductHunt?
