I used to write end-to-end tests by hand. At my FAANG job, I worked on a product where bugs had real costs. So we had lots of tests. But they kept breaking. Not because the product was broken, just because the UI changed. Fixing tests became a full-time chore. Later, when I started my own project, I stopped writing tests to move faster. I shipped a new dashboard. It broke onboarding. We lost users. That sucked. That’s when it clicked. You either spend time fixing fragile tests. Or you ship with zero coverage and hope nothing breaks. There’s no good in-between. So I built TestGent. You give it a high-level instruction. It writes the test case. Adds assertions. Runs the test like a real user.
