Over the years working closely with quality control inspectors, auditors, and supply chain managers, we noticed a persistent bottleneck: traditional field inspections and reporting were simply too slow, fragmented, and prone to communication gaps. On-site teams spent too much time manually logging data, while managers waited anxiously for final reports to make critical procurement decisions. We set out to create a seamless, end-to-end operational hub that eliminates field friction and speeds up quality management. Specifically, we wanted to solve: Delayed reporting: Sluggish task assignment and slow report turnarounds that bottleneck supply chains. Inconvenient field workflows: Clunky, time-consuming check-in/clock-in processes for inspectors on the ground. Information loss: Vague task briefs that lead to missed details during inspections. When we first started building the new app, we focused heavily on adding a ton of complex features. But through rounds of real-world feedback from inspectors and quality engineers on site, we realized that simplicity, speed, and clarity mattered most. We pivoted our design philosophy to focus on three core pillars: Brand New Core Efficiency: Streamlined backend logic to enable quick task assignment and rapid report generation in just a few taps. Convenient Field Operations: Redesigned the daily workflow with features like quick clock-in to drastically improve on-site operational efficiency. Detailed & Clear Visibility: Structured the UX so that all task information is more detailed, clear, and actionable, ensuring no quality critical point is ever missed.
