I built this because I got tired of asking strangers at trailheads if they wanted to hike or asking friends if they were available to ride Saturday at 2pm. I tried Reddit, Facebook groups, Strava clubs. The process was always clunky and the matches were usually wrong. Someone wants to do 12 miles when you want 4 miles. Someone runs a 7mile pace when you're an 11mile pac runner. Someone is two hours away, etc. TerenGO matches outdoor people by three things that matter: what sport, what skill level, where you actually go and do things. Free, with 15+ sports including hiking, climbing, gravel biking, skiing, pickleball, trail running, and more. A few things that make it different: 1. Skill matching is granular. Not just "intermediate." You set skill per activity type, so a V2 climber isn't matched with a V8 climber just because you're both "into climbing." 2. Location-aware. See activites others post in your area or around the US if you are traveling or planning to move 3. Built for real life. RSVP, chat, reliability and reputation scores. You know if someone actually shows up. 4. Groups are a pro feature but they allow you to create activites within the groups you create that way only those individuals can join.
