TencentDB Agent Memory aims to address three common challenges in long-running agent tasks: continuously growing context, memory loss across sessions, and the inability to carry team knowledge forward when people or agents change. The product initially focused on personal memory, using short-term context compression and layered long-term memory to preserve task state and help agents better understand individual users. As the product evolved, we realized that the most valuable knowledge goes beyond personal preferences—it also includes historical decisions, project knowledge, code relationships, and proven workflows. This led us toward team memory, where experience becomes a shareable, traceable, and governable team asset that can be delivered to the right agent based on the task, role, and permission scope.
