Telemetry Overlay

Enhance your videos with GPS and performance metrics

Add custom gauges to your videos: GPS map, speed, acceleration, lap times, heart rate... GoPro cameras, DJI drones and many more devices than you may think record performance metrics but don't provide data visualization tools. Not a problem any more!

Hey Product Hunt! I quit my job as a video producer for this project. Totally worth it! Many GoPro users don't know their cameras record GPS and sensor data alongside their videos. So do DJI drones, but these brands don't provide powerful tools to visualize the data. Most sports enthusiasts use activity tracking devices to analyze their performance, but Garmin's software for adding those metrics to videos was abandoned years ago. Telemetry Overlay solves this problem with a user-friendly workflow that allows anyone to enhance videos with GPS, sensor and fitness data from a myriad of sources. For example: - GoPro and Insta360 cameras - DJI, Parrot and Autel drones - Garmin, RaceChrono and VirtualBox trackers - GPX, CSV and KML files And the list is growing. The gauges system allows users to display an almost unlimited range of data streams, but the most common use cases are in motor sports, biking, surveillance, running, transportation, aeronautics, sailing, engineering... These are some of the most popular gauges: 🛰️ GPS Path with map or satellite imagery 🚘 Speed 🛣️ Distance 🗻 Altitude 🧭 Orientation ⏳ Lap Timer 🏍️ Lean Angle ❤️ Heart Rate 🚴 Cadence ⚡ Power ⌚ Date, Time & Stopwatch 🧗 Slope 🚀 Accelerometer 🤸 Gyroscope So far users are providing really positive feedback and many nice feature ideas, so the software will keep growing in years to come. A trial version is now available, so you can see the magic on your own videos! https://goprotelemetryextractor.... Happy to answer any questions.

Nice one! Looks clean and easy to use, I was just wondering if there's a way to help you move your gauges to ensure you place them symmetrically somehow? My videos would look better if I knew where to place each element exactly

@rubenwolff Thanks! You can add guide lines to help you compose the project. And you can fine tune the placement with arrow keys, which also shows a crossbow briefly to help with alignment

Love using this for cycling videos. Juan has really built a polished product here and he is a standup guy and has given me some great advice on getting the most out of it.

@daniel_patricio Thanks Daniel! I learn every day from users like you. That's one of the main takeaways from this project: Customer support work is a fantastic source of validation and ideas
