Hello, fellow Product Hunters! I'm Abhishek, one of the co-founders of Telematica. 🎯 Our mission? To build an API that makes integrating with Distributed Energy Resources (DERs like EVs, HVACs, solar inverters) quick and simple. 🤔 Problem Moving towards renewable energy is like solving a complex puzzle. It involves a mix of devices that generate, store, and consume energy. Each device comes with its own set of protocols, standards, and APIs to navigate - making it a challenge for businesses. 💡 Solution We're simplifying the convoluted process of interacting with multiple devices. Telematica's API gives businesses a unified method to manage these devices, irrespective of their brand or type. ⚡️ Use cases Our API is a handy tool for utilities, energy service providers, and app developers. Whether it's powering demand response programs, managing smart home energy, or charging EVs intelligently, Telematica lays the groundwork for these innovative solutions. We already support over 50 OEM integrations, taking off the load from our customers to build or maintain these connections. This means faster time to market, broader device coverage, and ultimately, a more sustainable future. And we're just getting started! We're thrilled to present Telematica on Product Hunt and look forward to your feedback and questions. Any suggestions or ideas? Drop them below! Let's power the future together. 🔥 You can experience our API here - https://play.telematica.so/

Hey Product Hunters! I'm Aditya, also a co-founder of Telematica. We've built an API that streamlines connecting to EVs and other energy devices. Let me give you a glimpse into the tech-side of things. Our product development philosophy focuses on high standards for security, scalability, and performance. Complex actions like controlling and monitoring consumer energy devices are few lines of code in your workflows. We've integrated with 50+ OEMs, and are steadily increasing that count. Our goal is to ensure broader device coverage and top tier reliability. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, so please share your thoughts and questions below!

How are you different from enode (also YC company), or just competing? 😅 https://www.enode.com/
Abhishek Jain
@eonpilot Thanks for your question! While Telematica and Enode both promote renewable energy, we differ in approach. Telematica prioritizes a reliable, easy-to-use API for seamless DER integration. Our standout feature is our focus on reliability and user experience. In the broad energy sector, many solutions exist, each handling unique problems. We hope this highlights our singular focus!

🎉 Congratulations on the launch of Telematica! 🎉 I'm super interested in this project and I love how it's helping to simplify the often convoluted process of using multiple energy devices. Could you provide a few examples of how different businesses are using the API? It would be great to get a better idea of the potential applications. Also, are there any new features that you're planning to add to the API? Best of luck and keep up the awesome work! 🤩
Abhishek Jain
@gabriel_nori Sure, Telematica API empowers residential energy management providers to optimize home energy consumption by integrating and controlling devices like EVs, HVACs, smart thermostats, and solar inverters. Similarly, utilities can efficiently manage end users' devices to build demand response solutions and manage Virtual Power Plants (VPPs). Yes, we are working on several new features, with Webhooks being the most interesting one!
