Hiring an interpreter costs €500/day. Subtitle apps kill the flow of conversation. Tatumi gives everyone in the room a personal AI interpreter through their headphones. Create a room, share a code — each person speaks their language and hears others in theirs, with natural AI voices in real time. Perfect for conferences, guided tours, business meetings, and travel.

Hey Product Hunt! We're Hotlabs, the team behind Tatumi.
We're based in Barcelona — one of the most multilingual cities in Europe. Catalan, Spanish, English, French, tourists from everywhere. You constantly find yourself in rooms where people want to connect but can't, because they don't share a language.
We saw this everywhere: a tour guide repeating the same explanation four times for four language groups while everyone waited. Conference speakers losing half their audience because there was no translation. Business meetings where someone always has to struggle in a second language and loses half their personality.
The solutions out there? Subtitles kill eye contact. Text translation kills flow. Human interpreters cost €500/day and need to be booked weeks ahead. Nothing lets people just talk naturally.
So we built Tatumi. It works like this:
1. Create a translation room and share a code
2. Everyone joins on their phone and picks their language and AI voice
3. Put on headphones and just talk — everyone hears you in their language, in real time, with natural-sounding AI voices
No subtitles. No typing. No waiting. Just conversation.
We built this for the real world: conferences where every attendee hears the speaker in their language, guided city tours where one guide serves every nationality at once, business meetings where nobody has to switch to English, and travelers who want real conversations — not Google Translate ping-pong.
We're currently in closed beta on iOS and Android — spots are limited. If you want early access, head to tatumi.app and request your invite. Product Hunt folks get priority, but we're letting people in in waves so be quick. We'd love your honest feedback before we open the doors to everyone.
