Hello friends! I was running 20 to 40 terminal tabs across different worktrees. Burned out, anxious, staring blankly at the screen trying to remember where I was with each task. There had to be a better way to get things done in the agentic world. Something where we focus on what matters, the task, instead of prompts. TaskCooker is that better way. Love the focus on task-first thinking instead of juggling prompts. One thing that would help me: a quick way to see which tasks are blocked on a long-running command across multiple worktrees, maybe a small status indicator in the task list so I can spot stalled work without clicking into each one.
been there with the tab chaos, this looks like a real lifesaver. one thing that would help me a lot is a quick visual diff between worktrees so i can tell at a glance which branch actually has the latest changes without opening each one. would save a ton of context switching on bigger days.
Terminal tab overload is a real thing, nice to see someone tackling it. One idea: add a quick filter or search bar so I can jump straight to a task by name or status instead of scrolling through the list when it grows past a few dozen items.
Love the focus on tasks over prompts, that's exactly the pain point. One thing that would help me a lot: a quick visual indicator showing which worktree is currently active per task, so I don't have to hover or click around to confirm where edits are landing. Would make context-switching way less stressful.
honestly the focus on tasks over tabs is kind of refreshing, like finally something that gets the agentic workflow mess. took me a minute to wire up with claude code but once it clicked it felt way less chaotic than juggling terminals
