Tarsii

We love Meerkat and the concept behind it. Its simple and frictionless use of Twitter feels just right. We've worked on live mobile video for other use cases, and we think that that Meerkat's approach could be effective in finally making live streaming work for everyone. So as a sincere attempt at flattery, we created Tarsii, with additional goals of adding enhancements and extensions to the Meerkat-like experience. First, we decided to release our app to Android users who have been missing out. Tarsii on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/ap... Please feel free to give it a try and let us know how you think. It supports one-click streaming to Twitter, viewing, comments and interaction between sender and viewers. All Android devices with Android 4.0 or above are supported. Beyond just live streaming, we also see instant, cloud-based video replay and archiving as something that (some) users desire. Pretty soon, in our followup releases, we'll start supporting that. Full copy of the live video will be available for replay immediately after the live stream ends, if the broadcasters chooses to keep it. Replay can be limited to within 24 hours as well. We definitely believe, as we have for a long time, that live streaming is here to stay. Along with Meerkat and Periscope, we will continue to improve the core experience of broadcasting and interaction for all early adopters of live mobile streaming, perhaps starting with a better color scheme? ;-) (We do like our logo though!)
