TapJar

For people that just can't save up

TapJar helps you save money without budgeting or spreadsheets. It acts like an annoyingly helpful friend that regularly asks how much money you have and suggests how much to save. No guilt. No complexity. Just small nudges that build a real saving habit over time. Free to use, works in your browser. Much better on your phone!

Hi all, I built TapJar because I’m genuinely terrible at saving money. Not “I should optimize my budget” bad, avoid-looking-at-my-bank-account bad. Every money app I tried assumed discipline. I needed accountability. So TapJar does one annoying but effective thing: it regularly asks how much money you have and nudges you to save a small amount right now. I tried it on myself first and saved my first $100 in a week. Not life-changing, but huge for me. TapJar is free to use, browser-based, and built around behavior instead of tracking every expense. Would love your honest feedback, especially what feels confusing, unnecessary, or missing.
