Talking Alarm Clock is an iOS app that announces the current time out loud when your alarm rings, so you don’t have to look at the screen. It can be especially useful for blind and visually impaired users, as well as anyone who prefers audio feedback. The app works offline, supports 10 languages, and includes alarms, timers - with no ads, no account, and no tracking.
Hey
I built Talking Alarm Clock around a very simple idea:
When your alarm rings, why does it only make noise? Why can't it just tell you what time it is?
Talking Alarm Clock does exactly that.
When an alarm goes off, it announces the current time out loud — so you don't have to open your eyes, find your glasses, or look at a bright screen just to know the time.
A few things I wanted to get right:
Speaks the time out loud
Supports 10 languages
Works completely offline
No account, no tracking
No ads
Alarms + timers
It's particularly useful when waking up during the night, when your phone isn't within easy reach, or for anyone who simply prefers hearing the time instead of reading it.
I tried to keep the whole experience extremely simple: set an alarm, put your phone down, and when it rings you'll immediately know the time.
I'd love to hear what you think - especially what feature you'd want me to build next.
Thanks for checking it out!
