I wanted to create a more engaging, practical way to practice speaking. TalkClips combines short-form video with AI to create an immersive speaking practice experience. Users record or upload 10-second videos, practice describing what they see in their target language, and receive instant AI feedback on pronunciation, fluency, and expression. Started with basic video uploads and simple transcription. Integrated AI vision models to generate natural descriptions in any target language, added real-time speech recognition, and built a scoring system (0-100) with personalized feedback. The app now supports 37+ languages and includes features like dictionary lookup, text-to-speech, and multi-language descriptions.
