Hey Hunters! I built tak.chat to help my friend who runs an e-commerce business automate part of the incoming messages from his website visitors. We thought it would be cool to use GPT-4o as a chatbot to answer the most popular questions through a website widget. But now, it's much more than that. The Shopify App allows the chatbot to access the store's products and orders, helping to automate not only FAQ responses but also specific order status checks and product inquiries. Great job! I think you should add more attention to the core functionality (how chat is taking your online store data (via API), how users can upload their source of knowledge (if you are using LangChain, LLMs, etc))

@dennisbabych, thank you for your input! You're right, let me clarify here. The app integrates with Shopify stores, granting access to limited scopes of information: orders and products. Product data is stored in the database and syncs regularly, while order data is collected upon user request. It's important to note that no personal data about the orders is shared via the bot. The bot comes with basic instructions that enable it to function autonomously, but for most use cases, I recommend adding your custom instructions through the dashboard.

@vasily_kolosov1 Great question! Users can easily ask for assistance, or the bot can detect when human intervention is necessary and escalate the request to human support. Our product includes a live chat feature that enables admins to seamlessly take over the conversation from the assistant and engage in human-to-human communication.
