Tabby lives inside Telegram where you already are. Just type naturally, and AI handles categorization, currency conversion, smart budget alerts, group splits, subscription tracking, and more, with a beautiful web dashboard for insights and analytics.

Hey PH 👋
I'm Derrick, and I built Tabby because I couldn't stick with a single expense tracker. If you have ever tried one, day 1 motivated, day 3 skipping, day 7 the app is buried in a folder. Tapping through screens to log a $4 coffee always killed the habit.
Meanwhile I was already in Telegram all day. So I thought, what if tracking money felt like texting a friend?
That's Tabby. A Telegram bot you just type at. `15 coffee` works. `+2000 salary` logs your income. `500 THB dinner` auto-converts currencies. The AI figures out the category. Done in 2 seconds, inside an app you already have open.
Turns out when logging is that easy, you actually do it every day.
What Tabby does
👥 Split expenses instantly in any group chat by tagging who's involved and settling up without the awkward math
📊 Set budgets per category and get warnings at 50%, 75%, and 100% before you overspend, not after
💡 Every month, Tabby analyses your last 3 months of spending and suggests budget adjustments you can accept with one tap
🎙️ Send a voice message like "spent 50 on lunch yesterday" and Tabby handles the rest
💱 Log in any currency, auto-converted at live rates — great for travel or dealing in multiple currencies
🔁 Set up rent, subscriptions, salary, and let Tabby log them automatically
📋 Track every subscription and get reminders before renewals so nothing sneaks past you
📈 Visual spending charts, category trends, and insights, built with a dashboard UI that honestly, you won't find anywhere else in Telegram
📤 Download your data as Excel or CSV anytime
Why Telegram?
You're already there. No new app to download, no new account to create, no new habit to build. You just text Tabby like you'd text a friend. That's the whole point — the best expense tracker is the one you actually use.
What's coming next
I don't want Tabby to just be an expense tracker. The world has enough of those. The spreadsheet people get it, they'll never switch to an app because the manual ritual is the point. It forces you to sit with your numbers, to actually feel your spending. Most apps kill that by automating everything until you stop caring.
Tabby sits in an interesting middle ground. Fast enough that you'll actually use it, but intentional enough that every transaction passes through your hands. You typed it. You saw it. You felt it.
That's the foundation. What I'm building toward is a financial companion you can actually talk to — one that spots patterns, runs what-if scenarios, and gives everyone access to the kind of thinking that used to require a spreadsheet and 10 years of discipline. Plus Google Sheets sync for the diehards who'll never fully let go (I respect it), multi-language support, savings goals, etc
I’m just getting started, and I’d love your feedback, ideas, and support today.
Thanks so much for checking it out 💜
