👋 Hey! I'm Andrew, a CS student who's passionate about building software that solves everyday problems.
❌ Do you ever have so many tabs open you can barely see them? I absolutely hated playing the "tab guessing game" when I had so many open I could barely read their titles. Oftentimes I would click the wrong one, or even accidentally close it.
✅ My frustration drove me to create a Chrome extension named Tab Drive, centered around 2 core tenets: simplicity and visualization. Here are its core features:
✦ large, easily readable cards displaying each tab's actual image.
✦ Ability to click, delete, and drag cards around.
✦ Display the scrollable list of cards by moving cursor to the right edge of the window.
✦ Enable/disable the list of cards by clicking the extension icon.

👋Hi everyone, I want to go into a little more detail on how I got into this project and my motivation behind Tab Drive!
✦ I’m one of those people who keeps a lot of tabs open on his computer. I think it’s kind of like an irrational fear – like I’m scared to close a tab because I feel like there’s some info on that page that I may need to reference later.
✦ Eventually my tabs build up over the day, and my productivity takes a dive. I waste time and mental bandwidth reading the tiny text at the top of the Chrome window, trying to see which of those tabs is the one I’m trying to switch to. As a CS student, I particularly struggle with this issue while working on coding assignments, constantly switching through tabs as I sift through documentation (and geeksforgeeks 😀).
✦ I needed a solution that was both simple and visually oriented. Next, I’d love to tell you about why these two factors were so important in the design process.
