The autoeq with 6000+ headphone profiles is genuinely smart—most players leave you digging through EqualizerAPO presets, but having it baked in and tied to your actual gear is the kind of detail audiophiles will actually notice.
@metinbykl1qe8 Exactly the pain point I built it around EqualizerAPO is powerful but it turns a good pair of headphones into a homework assignment. Pulling from the AutoEQ measurement database and tying it straight to your gear means the correction is one tap, not an afternoon of manual filters. Really appreciate you noticing the detail — that's the crowd I made this for
Tried the AutoEQ with my HD 600s and the difference was honestly noticeable, way more detail in the mids than my usual player pulls out. Love that everything just lives on the phone with no account nonsense.
@arinburtakpq70 Ah, another HD600 owner — great taste That midrange detail is exactly where a good AutoEQ match earns its keep, so hearing it come through makes my day. And yeah, "no account nonsense" was a hard rule from day one: it's your music on your phone, fully offline, nothing to sign up for. Thanks for giving it a spin
honestly this looks like exactly what i've been waiting for, basically a real music player for people who actually care about sound. one thing though, would be great if you could add crossfade between tracks in our own playlists, kind of like a mini gapless dj mode. would make listening sessions feel way more seamless.
@hamzasefil3idj This is exactly the kind of listener I built it for And crossfade is a great shout — a mini gapless "DJ mode" for your own playlists fits the vibe perfectly. It's going straight onto the roadmap. I want to get it right (proper equal-power curve, adjustable duration, and a true gapless path for albums that are meant to flow) rather than ship a quick fade, but it's exactly the kind of detail this player should have. Thanks for the nudge
Finally a music player that actually respects my FLAC collection without pushing me toward some streaming subscription. The AutoEQ matched my HD600s surprisingly well — bass tightened up without killing the midrange.
@erengilsed11978 This honestly made my day That was exactly the goal — your files, your rules, no subscription funnel. The HD600 is one of my favorite targets too; that "tighten the bass without touching the mids" balance is the whole point of AutoEQ done right. If you ever tweak the profile further, there's a live taste-EQ you can nudge by ear on top of the match. Enjoy the collection!
I'm not an "audiophile", but I do like listening to music. How is this better than just using spotify?
@mjohnson42 Honestly? For discovering new music and casual listening, Spotify is great and I still use it too 🙂SynQ is for a different itch: playing music you actually own — files you bought, ripped, or downloaded — at full quality, straight off your phone with no subscription and no internet needed. You don't have to be an audiophile to enjoy that. If you've ever had a song vanish from a playlist, or wanted to play music on a flight without paying monthly, that's the gap this fills. And the AutoEQ just makes whatever headphones you already own sound a bit better — zero setup. No pressure though; it's a different tool, not a Spotify replacement
finally a player that actually handles my DSD files bit-perfect without trying to upsell me a subscription. the AutoEQ on my HD600s made a real difference.
@yunus922639 This is the combo I love to hear DSD support without a paywall was non-negotiable for me — your files, your quality, no subscription hiding it behind a tier. And another HD600 win with the AutoEQ! That headphone really responds well to the match. Thanks for giving SynQ a shot
