I built SyncBy!App after one too many conference-room standoffs — a projector that only speaks VGA, a laptop that doesn't, and an audience watching me dig through my bag for the right dongle.
The idea is simple: open a browser on any screen, get a 4-character PIN, type it into your phone, pick a PDF or some photos — you're presenting. No app to install, no account to create, no cable to hunt for. Slides travel peer-to-peer over WebRTC straight from your phone to the screen; nothing ever touches a server, nothing gets uploaded anywhere.
A few things I care about that you might too:
- Works on locked-down conference Wi-Fi — it only needs ports 80/443, same as any website
- Sessions are anonymous and disposable: no accounts, no tracking, no trace left behind

this looks super handy for quick presentations, love that nothing gets uploaded. one thing that would make it a no-brainer for me: let me stream a short video clip too, not just pdfs and photos. even 60 seconds would cover most product demos and sales pitches i do on the road.
finally a wireless display option that does not try to install a weird app on the TV, just typed the pin on my laptop and the photos showed up in seconds. keeping my files local is a really nice touch.
Tried it on the office projector and the PIN setup was honestly painless, photos showed up right away with no app install on my end. Love that nothing leaves my phone.
Would love to see screen mirroring for video playback too, not just PDFs and photos. Also, adding a way to resume a previous session by saving the PIN for a few minutes would save time when switching between files during a presentation.
honestly the PIN setup is way simpler than i expected, just opened chrome on my tv and it was already showing photos within like a minute.
