Syncal is a developer-first calendar infrastructure platform that lets you integrate Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, and CalDAV through a single API. Instead of spending weeks building OAuth flows, webhook processing, recurring event handling, incremental synchronization, and provider-specific logic, developers can focus on building scheduling experiences while Syncal handles the infrastructure.
Curious how pricing works once you scale past the free tier. Is it per active user, per calendar connected, or purely by API call volume?
@hacereylan8atk Great question! We're optimizing for predictable pricing rather than metering every API request.
The current direction is to price based on connected calendars, with generous API usage included in each plan. That way developers can build without worrying that routine syncs, webhooks, or polling will unexpectedly increase their bill.
As we learn from early customers, we'll refine the tiers, and enterprise customers with large-scale deployments will have custom plans.

Handling all the calendar syncs on my project was such a headache, managing the abuse limit, throttle limits etc, maintaining consistency between the two systems and ensuring a fault tolerant workflow. syncal has solved all of these issues for me, so glad to have found it

Those challenges are exactly why we built it. Calendar sync is much more than moving events from A to B—you have to deal with provider rate limits and abuse protection, retries, webhook reliability, conflict resolution, and keeping distributed systems consistent even when things fail.
Our goal is to make all of that invisible so developers can focus on building features instead of maintaining calendar infrastructure.

Finally something that handles the OAuth mess across providers without me writing the same code four times. The webhook piece impressed me most, it just kept my local test in sync without any glue code.

Every calendar provider has its own OAuth quirks, webhook behavior, and edge cases. We wanted developers to integrate once and let Syncal handle the differences behind the scenes.

On the surface, calendar integration looks straightforward, but once you get into recurring events, webhook reliability, provider-specific behaviors, rate limits, sync conflicts, and edge cases, it quickly becomes a significant engineering effort.
