swapfile.io is a hub of 99 free tools that run in your browser: convert images, PDFs and audio, crop/rotate/watermark images, strip EXIF/GPS/C2PA metadata, and use developer & CTF utilities (file analyzer, hash & cipher ID, regex, diff, QR, JWT, base64…). Most tools process your file entirely on-device — nothing is uploaded, and there's no tracking. Free, no sign-up, available in 14 languages.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm the maker of swapfile.io.
It started from a small annoyance: every "free online converter" quietly uploads your photos, PDFs and documents to someone else's server. So I built the opposite — a hub where the conversion happens in your browser. Your file stays on your device; you can even switch off Wi-Fi and it still works.
What's inside today (99 tools, 14 languages):
• Image: convert (JPG/PNG/WebP/AVIF/HEIC/GIF…), compress to a target size, resize for every social platform, crop/rotate/flip/watermark, on-device AI background removal & upscaling
• PDF: merge, split, rotate, delete pages, page numbers, PDF ↔ images/text/Word
• Privacy: remove EXIF/GPS and C2PA "made with AI" credentials, EXIF viewer, AI-image checker
• Dev & CTF: file analyzer (strings, entropy, embedded files), hash/cipher identifiers, JWT, regex tester, diff, CSV/JSON/YAML, base64…
Honest limits: a few conversions (HEIC on non-Safari browsers, TIFF) use our server because browsers can't decode them — those tools say so on the page, and files are auto-deleted within an hour. Everything else never leaves your machine.
It's free with no sign-up. There's an optional API for developers who want the same pipeline from code.
