Hi Product Hunt 👋 Projection mapping has a strange gap in it. The professional tools are excellent and cost a few hundred a year, run on a laptop, and assume you are doing a show. But most people who want to map something are doing one thing: a shop window, a Halloween display, a party wall, a pillar at a wedding. They do not need a media server. They need to get an image to sit correctly on an object. The part everyone gets stuck on is not the software, it is alignment. Every tutorial ends the same way — "put the projector 5 to 7 feet back and move things around until it lines up." So people spend an hour crawling around a lawn nudging pumpkins. SurfaBeam is our attempt at that specific problem on a touchscreen. You add a surface, drag its four corners onto the real object, and if the object curves — a pillar, a pumpkin, an arch — you bow each edge into a curve with the handles until the image follows the shape. Masking keeps the light off everything behind it. Then you drop in a video. It runs on Android, iOS, macOS and Windows with the same toolset, so you can align standing at the wall instead of walking back to a laptop. Being straight about the limits: it drives one projector output. No multi-projector edge blending, no DMX, no NDI or Syphon, no true 3D-model mapping. If you need those, MadMapper and Resolume are genuinely better tools and we would rather say so. Free version has the full mapping toolset with a watermark on the output.
