Questions about Surf
Surf will anonymize and group user data for brands so that they won't be able to see specific browsing data, but rather only high level browsing trends for a cohort (ex. Popular publications visited by 18-24 males in Los Angeles).
Surf was also voted #1 Product of the day on Product Hunt on September 21st, 2021
Surf asks you for your basic information: email, phone, DOB, as well as options for gender, location, and favorite brands (these last three are not required to make a profile).
Surf will also see the sites you visit (URLs). Everything else they collect is opt-in and with your explicit consent.
Surf rewards users for data they already share on a daily basis with points.
Users can redeem these points for items and gift cards from over 60 brands in the Surf Marketplace including Sephora, Lululemon, UberEats and Amazon.
Surf also provides users with an activity log that allows them to see every piece of data they have shared. Users can edit and manage the data they share at any time.
