I came in expecting a dictation tool and stayed for the assistant. I use it all day: dictating into any text field, highlight-and-correct on messy text, and increasingly just talking to it to get things done in whatever app I'm already in — summarise a Slack thread, draft a reply, tidy a paragraph in place.
What I like most is that the dictation is fully on-device and genuinely fast — nothing leaves the machine — and yet it doesn't stop at dictation the way most voice tools do. It's screen-aware and cross-app, so it acts where I'm working instead of trapping me in a chat window.
Why is it fantastic?
On-device dictation that's fast and private — no audio saved, nothing sent off
Goes beyond dictation into a real screen-aware assistant that takes action in any app
Multi-model freedom — route to Claude, a local model, whatever suits the task
Highlight-and-correct is the feature I didn't know I needed
