SubWatch nails the core job to be done: track renewals and warn me before I get charged. Onboarding is frictionless (manual add + smart suggestions), and the interface is beautifully minimal—dates, price, next charge, done. No bank connections or credential scraping, which makes it feel instantly trustworthy. It’s fast, lightweight, and focused—exactly what a subscription tracker should be.

What needs improvement

CSV import/export for quick bulk setup and backups.
A tiny upcoming-renewals widget (mobile/desktop).
Shared spaces (family/teams) with per-subscription permissions.
“Inactive for 30+ days” flags to spot unused subscriptions.
Optional browser extension to capture plan details at checkout.

vs Alternatives

I chose SubWatch because it’s completely free and feels thoughtfully engineered. The app is fast, responsive on every screen size, and refreshingly user-friendly—no clutter, just the essentials. You can tell the underlying architecture is clean: pages load instantly, interactions are smooth, and the minimal UI keeps focus on dates, prices, and the next charge. It does exactly what I need without friction or fees.

Does it show monthly and annual spending breakdowns clearly?

The basics are clear—next charges and totals are easy to track. A dedicated monthly/annual breakdown view (with category filters and trends) would make spend analysis even stronger.

Does it integrate with calendar apps for renewal dates?

I didn’t see a native calendar sync yet. Email/push reminders do the job, but an optional iCal/Google Calendar export (one-way) would be a great add for power users.

Can you export your data to CSV or other formats?

I couldn’t find a CSV export at the moment. A simple “Export all subscriptions to CSV/JSON” (with price, next charge, notes) would make backups and migrations effortless.
