Happy macOS Sequoia launch! 🌲
Subtitle Me is a new live-translation app that utilizes the Translation framework introduced in macOS Sequoia to provide lightning-fast, private, completely on-device translation as you speak.
I run a Swift developer meetup in Osaka, Japan, and I developed Subtitle Me to help me build a bilingual community among iOS and macOS developers here. I've been using it at meetups all summer to provide Japanese translations for English-speakers giving presentations, and English translations for Japanese presentations. The response has been super positive, so I wanted to share it with everyone.
I've made it available on Gumroad for free, or whatever you feel like it's worth to you. I'd love to hear any feedback you have as you check it out!
incredibly helpful for my lab meeting where some presentations happen in English and most don't. we can understand what the presenter is saying beyond the slides now!
