We built and deployed SubGemini on Google Cloud Run to power an end-to-end AI video subtitling and translation studio without managing infrastructure. Cloud Run hosts our containerized web app and orchestrates low-latency multimodal speech-to-text and bilingual translation calls (English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese) across Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 2.5 Pro/Flash with custom glossary prompt injection. Because video ingestion, .SRT generation, and FFmpeg subtitle burning are compute-heavy and bursty, Cloud Run's automatic scaling lets us process concurrent video jobs smoothly and scale back to zero between exports.
