We started SubCenter.io in 2025—just the two of us, myself and @vidmantask, a husband-and-wife team of software engineers who were fed up with forgetting about subscriptions and free trials. Too often, we’d only realize we were still paying for something when we spotted an unexpected charge on our credit card statement. Even big-name services rarely send reminders before billing us. And they still do so!
When we looked for a solution, everything we found was either too complicated, too intrusive, too expensive—or all of the above. So we decided to build something better: a simple, affordable subscription tracker to help us (and hopefully many others) stay on top of subscriptions and trials without the hassle.
