Strofi is a Mac app that remembers how your work moves. Work rarely happens in one place. A presentation lives in PowerPoint, research sits in browser tabs, and yesterday's context is scattered across apps and files. Strofi brings the files, pages, and apps you actually use into one timeline. It learns which items show up together, so the right ones surface when you need them. Less digging through tabs, more picking up right where you left off.

Why I built this
My work is scattered across a document here, a few browser tabs there, and a handful of apps in between. More than once, I've walked into an important meeting unable to find something I needed. Stuff I looked at yesterday, or last week, was just... somewhere, with no easy way to pull it back up. So I built Strofi, a native Mac app that keeps track of all of it for you.
The problem
I tried tools like ChatGPT's computer history and Screenpipe. Having every single thing you do on your Mac logged is genuinely useful, but full screen captures and keystroke logging felt like a lot. I wanted to know what I'd worked on. I didn't want to hand over everything I'd typed along the way.
So I built Strofi
📍 A timeline of every file, web page, and app you've used, including when you used it and for how long
🔗 It learns which items tend to show up together and surfaces what you'll likely need next
🖱️ Reopen anything straight from your timeline with a single click
🤖 Turn on Local MCP and Strofi connects to AI apps like Claude. Just ask, "pull up the research I was looking at for yesterday's deck," and it'll find it and reopen it right in the conversation. No digging through your timeline required.
Privacy
Strofi never reads your document contents, and it doesn't capture your screen or log your keystrokes. Everything's stored locally on your Mac by default, and Local MCP is off unless you turn it on yourself. Even then, you control exactly what gets shared with connected AI apps through permissions. You can delete your activity history whenever you want.
