Know your power with Strike Force—the ultimate Apple Watch punch tracker. Measure punch force, speed, and endurance, track progress, challenge friends, and climb the leaderboards.
👋 Hey everyone, I’m Chris — the creator of Strike Force.
As someone who loves both boxing and data, I’ve always wondered how much force I was actually generating with my punches — and how I could use that data to improve my technique. I’ve always loved those arcade punch machines, so I had the idea to simulate that same experience using the accelerometer on the Apple Watch.
I started with a tiny proof of concept using AI. I have a bit of a technical background, but I’m not a software engineer — so this was definitely an experiment. As I dove deeper into the vibe-coding ecosystem, I kept expanding it piece by piece. Honestly, it was frustrating at times, but seeing progress (even small wins) kept me going.
The entire app was vibe-coded — built intuitively and iteratively — with a lot of help from Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude. I’d often give the same problem to all three and triangulate the best solution. My background as a product manager really helped me shape the product experience and keep moving forward when things got messy.
Now, Strike Force is live — and it’s surreal to see it out in the world. It lets you track punch force, speed, and endurance using Apple Watch, then compete with friends, climb leaderboards, and see your power grow over time.
I’d love your thoughts, questions, and feedback. Thanks for checking it out 💥
