StreetPainter is a GPS walking app that paints real streets onto your map as you walk them. Your city starts hidden under fog of war, and every route you take clears it and fills in colour. Track total kilometres, uncover hidden places, level up, and race friends for street coverage. Available on Android.
Hey everyone! I'm the maker of StreetPainter, a small app I built with AI.
Two years ago I moved to Serbia and started exploring Belgrade on foot, walking around different neighbourhoods just to get to know the place. After a while the same streets got boring. I'd found my optimal routes and lost any reason to go anywhere new. You probably know that feeling when you've lived somewhere for years, and then one day you turn onto a street one block up that you'd never walked before, and there's something great sitting right there.
So I looked for an app that would fix this and nothing really did what I wanted.
I turned that into StreetPainter. Now when I walk, I watch myself literally paint Belgrade in street by street, and I drop a pin with a photo whenever I find something worth remembering. It's genuinely fun. I've been dragging my friends into it so we can compete a bit.
My ambitions here are small. I mostly built it for myself, and it's a tiny niche. But I'd be really happy if you just gave it a try. Thanks!
