Stream Smart tracks your streaming subscriptions and tells you exactly when to pause or cancel and when to resubscribe. Connect your bank (via Plaid) and it automatically finds recurring subscriptions you forgot you were paying for. It watches your shows' return dates so you know the right time to resubscribe, and household mode finds duplicate subscriptions you and your partner are both paying for. Stop paying for streaming you don't watch.

Hey Product Hunt!
I built Stream Smart because my streaming bill quietly crept up to almost $100/month and half the time I wasn't watching anything on most of those services. I kept paying for things just because one show I liked would "eventually" come back.
So I made an app that tracks what you actually watch and tells you when to pause or cancel each service using what I call "Smart Suggestions." Example: "Nothing you watch on Max returns until June, pause it and save $18/mo." When your shows come back, it lets you know so you can resubscribe at the right time.
One feature I love: connect your bank and it scans for recurring subscriptions you forgot about and you can even add a second household bank to catch subscriptions you and someone in your household are both paying for.
What's next: I'm exploring a way to automatically import the shows you're watching so you don't have to add them manually. Curious whether that's something you'd want and would love thoughts on what would make it genuinely useful.
Happy to answer anything about the build. Would love your feedback 🙏

@tyler_blumenthal Upvoted. This is a practical idea because subscription costs have a way of creeping up without people noticing, and I like that you're helping users act on the data instead of just showing it. Congratulations on the launch. How are you detecting recurring subscriptions from bank transactions while avoiding false matches across different merchants?

Would love a way to mark a show as already watched in full so it stops nudging me to resubscribe for it every season. Right now the alerts still fire even when I binged the whole thing last year and have no plans to return.

@veyselzpnf Love this and you're right that finished shows shouldn't keep nudging you. Adding a way to mark a show done and mute its alerts in the next update. Thanks for the feedback

honestly the household mode thing caught me off guard, found out me and my roommate were both paying for the same service for like 6 months. the show tracking part is pretty solid too.

@melihacelercmv Thanks! Glad it's helping. I appreciate the feedback

Would love to see it estimate how much each subscription actually costs per hour watched. If I can see that I spent 12 dollars an hour on a show I barely cared about, that's way more motivating than just seeing the monthly total sitting in a list.

@sasaralwzc3 Ahh this would be very nice. I'll have to look into this and see what i can do! Thanks for the feedback!

The household duplicate detection is such a thoughtful touch, most people don't even realize they're double paying for the same service. Nice execution on a problem that actually hits home.
