StraightUp is made by Baseline Films, a three-person video production company in Melbourne, Australia. We are not a software company that guessed what creative teams need. We’re a creative team that got fed up and built it. When something is slow, confusing or missing, it hurts us before it hurts you, and it gets fixed because we need it fixed. We’re not going anywhere; this is the tool our own company stands on.

Loving how clean this is, feels like exactly what a small studio needs without the bloat of bigger tools. One thing that would genuinely help us: a simple way to mark a task as "blocked" and tag who or what it's waiting on, so the team's weekly view shows bottlenecks at a glance instead of us digging through comments.

@narkzmaztj0t Thanks for your comment! Task dependencies is something we'd love to add. I'm going to think about an implementation which keeps the app's visual approach so that the task flow can be easily glanced. Will post an update here soon!

The stacked tasks view sounds really refreshing, but would love a quick way to assign multiple team members to a single task with a mention, instead of dropping into a separate assignee field. Would save back-and-forth on shared design briefs.

honestly super clean, dragged in a few tasks and the weekly view just made sense immediately. no fluff, kind of refreshing after juggling heavier tools lately.

There were two things that I wanted to do with StraightUp: Be cheaper than the competition, and make sure that tasks don't get lost. I think we've achieved it - but I'd love to hear your thoughts if you try it out!
