Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Will.
I've built software for about 30 years. When I tried writing books myself, finishing one had turned into a software project: one tool to write, another to format, a spreadsheet for the launch, a dashboard for every storefront.
So I built StoriesDen: one studio for the whole life of a book.
📝 Plan — story structure templates, a story bible, worldbuilding and series that share one world
✍️ Write & revise — a manuscript editor with automatic chapter history, and customizable AI tools that help you train your own writing. Eight writing checks (dialogue, dialogue tags, pacing, emotion, character consistency, continuity, worldbuilding, spelling), and you choose what each one looks for, book by book — 13 switches for dialogue tags alone. They mark what they find on your own sentences. Simple fixes are one click; anything that needs real writing comes back as a note on what to fix, and you write it. Nothing changes in your book until you press Apply. I wanted a tool that makes me a better writer, not one that writes for me.
📖 Format — print-ready PDF at real trim sizes (checked against KDP's and IngramSpark's own tables) and EPUB, with device previews. No Mac needed.
🚀 Publish — step-by-step guides for ten storefronts, from KDP and Draft2Digital to Royal Road. You do the upload; StoriesDen makes sure you have everything it asks for.
📈 Promote & track — launch planning, and import your KDP and Draft2Digital reports to see what sold.
It runs in any browser, Windows and Chromebook included. The free plan has no card, no trial and no expiry, and cancelling never deletes a book — your books stay yours, and you can export anything.
For launch week, the Author plan is free for 30 days — 2,000 AI actions a month and unlimited books, no card.
I'd love your honest feedback, especially from anyone who has finished a book: where did you lose the most evenings? I'll be here all day.
