✅ Why did I build this? As an iOS developer with multiple indie apps, I've always hated the App Store Connect setup process. The excitement of building and launching new apps would quickly fade when I had to manually configure in-app purchases, subscriptions, pricing, and metadata through Apple’s painfully slow interface.
After spending countless hours repeating the same boring tasks across different apps - setting up similar pricing structures, copying subscription configurations, managing localizations - I realized there had to be a better way. The App Store Connect website is very slow, lacks dark mode, and forces you to click through dozens of pages for what should be simple configuration tasks.
We built StoreConfig to transform the most boring part of app development into a simple automation task. What used to take 2+ hours of manual work now takes minutes with a JSON-based configuration file.
✅ What's new and unique about your launch compared to others? StoreConfig is the first tool to offer true "Configuration as Code" for App Store Connect. While tools like Fastlane are excellent for CI/CD automation, they only handle basic metadata updates and don’t cover in-app purchases, subscriptions, or pricing configuration — which makes sense, as that’s not their main purpose. Other solutions try to improve the App Store Connect UI/UX, but StoreConfig goes beyond that by enabling complete automation through JSON files. You can now: * Duplicate entire app configurations between projects in minutes * Use AI tools to modify your app descriptions and metadata * Set prices across all territories using Purchasing Power Parity * Version control your entire App Store Connect setup * Manage subscriptions and in-app purchases It's the difference between a better interface and a fundamentally different workflow.
✅ What are you most proud of in this launch? I'm most proud of building the tool I needed myself. After trying every available alternative and still spending hours on manual App Store Connect tasks, I decided to solve this problem once and for all. The result is a tool that I'm confident will save thousands of developers countless hours. Knowing that I built something that solves a real pain point for the developer community - and that I'll be using it for years to come - makes this launch incredibly meaningful to me.
