What is Stezha? Stezha is a daily clarity app. You give us your birth data, and each day we generate one focused card grounded in your chart and today's sky that helps you understand what kind of day it is and how to move through it.
Is this astrology? Yes, and we're upfront about that. We use real astrological calculations as the underlying engine, but we don't lead with jargon or mysticism the output is written in plain, practical language you can actually use.
How does this handle location changes for things like ascendant calculations if someone moves, and is the birth chart stuff a one-time input or does it update over time?
@elmastrkbadx3w Great question. Short version: your birth chart is a one-time input, and moving doesn't change it — that's by design, not a limitation.
Your birth chart (including your rising sign / ascendant) is calculated from where and when you were born — your birth date, birth time, and birthplace. That moment is fixed, so the chart is too. If you move cities or countries later, your ascendant and the rest of your chart stay exactly the same. That's actually the correct way to do it: your rising sign is anchored to your birth, not to wherever you happen to be standing today.
What does update over time is the daily reading. Every day we look at where the sky is now and how it interacts with your fixed birth chart — that's what makes each day's card different. And here's the part that surprises people: today's sky is the same everywhere on Earth. The Moon is in the same sign whether you're in Kyiv or California. So your daily insight doesn't depend on your current location either — it depends on the date and your birth chart.
The one place your current location matters is timing — making sure "today" starts at your local midnight and your card arrives at the right hour for your day, not someone else's. So if you move across time zones, that's the only setting worth updating, and it's separate from your birth details.
So, to sum up:
Birth chart / ascendant: entered once, never changes, unaffected by moving.
Daily card: refreshes every day based on the current sky + your chart.
Current location: only affects when your day rolls over and when your card lands — not the content.
love that the LLM only handles the prose and the actual chart math is deterministic code, that's the right call for something that needs to feel trustworthy. and the "one card a day" framing is way more inviting than another endless feed.
@ayazrngf Thank you for your feedback!
The daily card actually feels personal and tied to my real birth chart, not a recycled horoscope. Love that it factors in the Moon's sign and phase without drowning me in jargon.
