A fasting app that doesn't make you track 40 things. No steps, water, calories, food photos or streaks. Steady checks in before your hardest hour and walks you through it: 3 minutes of paced breathing with haptics, or a quick puzzle.

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Chaminda. 20 years in tech, 43, and lately building small apps in public.
I do 16:8 most days and stop eating around 5 or 6 PM. The 16 hours were never really the problem. It was one stretch of the fast, roughly the same hour each time, when I'm tired, hungry and a bit low all at once. That's where I'd give in.
Every fasting app I tried wanted me to track 40 things: steps, water, calories, photos of every meal, streaks to protect. Fasting is already hard. All that logging just piled more stress on top, and none of it helped in the one moment I actually needed help.
So Steady asks you to track nothing. Instead it holds your hand through the tough hour:
- It learns when your hard hour hits and checks in just before it. Two taps.
- A 3-minute mindful breathing pacer, with gentle haptic vibration so you can follow it with your eyes closed.
- A set of small puzzles, if distraction works better for you than breathing.
- If you tap dizzy or shaky, it tells you to stop and eat. Whatever the hour.
- No streaks, no badges, no account. Nothing leaves your phone.
It's on iPhone and Android. I'd really like to hear:
1. What hour do you usually give up a fast, and what's going on right then?
2. Breathing or puzzles: which would actually get you through it?
I'll be here all day answering everything. Thanks for looking.
