Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve always enjoyed working on side projects in my free time, especially tinkering with small SaaS ideas. Last year, I launched a SaaS app that was acquired this summer. It was built using a SaaS starter kit, which saved me time. After selling that project, I came up with another SaaS idea and I wanted to use a starter kit again to speed up development. I spent a few days researching, looking for something simple and affordable that would let me jump straight into building. Unfortunately, I found that most kits were either too complex and expensive or relatively simple but cluttered with unnecessary UI libraries, configurations and packages. I ended up buying a starter kit for around $100. It seemed like a good middle ground based on the demo. But after purchasing it, I quickly realized that it would take me a week just to understand the codebase. There was too much setup and cleaning to do, which slowed me down and made me lose motivation to continue working on my SaaS idea. That’s when I decided to build my own dead-simple SaaS starter kit that focuses on minimizing setup time and getting straight to building. StartFast isn’t the first kit on the market but it’s built with simplicity and minimalism in mind. I created this kit for myself initially but I tested it with a few junior developers and they were able to understand how to set up everything quickly. I’m really excited to share it with you all—hope you find it as helpful as I have!
