Standflow is a standing desk timer that lives in your Mac's menu bar. It guides you through a cycle of sitting, standing, perching on a tall stool, and short movement breaks, so you change posture often instead of sitting (or standing) all day. Start from a preset like Easy Start, based on the 20-8-2 guideline, or drag the cycle ring to build your own. Reminders can move on automatically or ask first. Track a daily standing goal and 7/30/90-day metrics. No account: your data stays on your Mac.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Gonzalo, the maker of Standflow.
I bought my first standing desk a few years ago and ran into the same thing a lot of people do: the first week I stood for hours, my feet hurt, and then the desk stayed in sitting position for months. What actually helps isn't standing more, it's changing position often and adding a bit of movement. But when you're focused, you just forget.
So I built Standflow, a small native Mac app that lives in your menu bar and keeps the rhythm for you:
A full posture cycle: sitting, standing, and optional perching (half-sitting on a tall stool) and moving breaks, in the order you want
Presets to start fast: Easy Start (based on the 20-8-2 guideline), Balanced, and Posture Trio, or build your own
Reminders that respect your focus: start the next posture automatically, or have it ask first, with "a few more minutes" and "remind me in 5"
Daily standing goal right in the menu bar
Metrics for the last 7, 30, or 90 days: standing time, goal days, posture changes, and posture mix
Private: no account, no cloud, your history stays on your Mac
It works with any desk (electric, manual, or even a counter), on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 13+.
It's free right now. An iPhone version is on the way: when it ships, Standflow becomes a one-time purchase that includes both the Mac and iPhone apps, no subscription. If you download it now, it's yours.
I'd love your feedback: what would make it fit your workday better?
I'll be here all day answering questions. 🙌
