A Game Boy in your editor sidebar that wakes up while your AI agent works and tucks away when it stops.

I run Claude Code in a side panel most of the day and kept tab-switching to Twitter every time a longer task was running, which meant I'd miss the moment it actually finished and come back ten minutes late. Dropped a Tetris ROM into Standboy and now the Game Boy just sits there doing its thing in the sidebar - I glance at it instead of alt-tabbing away completely, so I actually notice when it goes idle again. Setup was genuinely a folder drop, no config file to fight with.

Only supports Game Boy / GBC / GBA ROMs right now, no way to tell at a glance whether the agent hit an error versus just still thinking - it's the same idle Game Boy either way.

Tamamon's desktop pet is cute but it's another thing demanding a glance in its own window. Standboy lives where my editor already is, so there's zero extra window to manage - it's less "a pet to check on" and more a status light I already happen to be looking at.
