I made SQLPage because I wanted to have a way to quickly explore web applications, user experience, and data visualization ideas. A lot of no-code or low-code tools exist, but they all share the same issue: you quickly get locked into them. If your idea turns out to be good, and you want to develop it further, you have to rebuild your webapp from scratch using different technologies. The idea behind SQLPage is that it makes you spend time exclusively on things that will be useful in the long term. You focus only on your core data model and essential queries, and let SQLPage generate a good-looking UI automatically. If you later want to customize the front-end or build advanced backend logic, you can reuse your database schema and all queries from sqlpage. And since SQLPage is opensource and easily self-hostable, you don't have to share your data with anyone if you don't want to.
