SQLPad - Online SQL & Python Training

Hi everyone, Super excited to be here, I am launching sqlpad.io, an online SQL playground that allows anyone to practice 80 SQL interview exercises in a browser for free. If anyone wants extra help, there is an accompanying video course available for purchase. SQL is a must know programming language for any data analytics professionals, it is the lingra fraca for processing and managing data in the industry. I’ve been using SQL for many years, and it is still my go to language to prepare data. However, it is not a strong-typed language, and there are quite a few popular database systems with different syntaxes and built-in functions, it could be very confusing for first timers. As a hiring manager or part of a hiring committee at a top tech company, I often ask a lot of SQL questions during a data scientist job interview, just to make sure the candidate will be hands-on at work. However, in my 15 years career, I have met so many fresh college graduates or young professionals entering a job interview without a solid skill in SQL, and ended up failing an interview. This year, given the current COVID-19 situation, hiring managers receive way more applications from qualified candidates, and it pushes the hiring bar to even higher. With tools such as SQLPad, it makes it easier for recent college graduates or young professionals to get a chance to practice SQL interview coding questions, master essential SQL skills, learn tips and technique to be successful at a SQL interview, and land their dream data analytics related job.
