Spur Notes is a simple notes app that lets your thoughts branch without losing their connections. Write normally, create a Related Note when an idea goes somewhere else, then copy the whole structure as text when you need it — into an AI tool, a document, or whatever comes next. Built local-first, with no account required to get started.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Spur Notes because I kept getting annoyed with my own notes.
If I kept everything in one note, finding something I wrote earlier got annoying.
But if I split things into separate notes, it became hard to tell what was related to what.
I also don’t think most people start thinking with a neat folder structure already in mind.
So I built Spur Notes around a simple idea: write normally, and create a Related Note when a thought actually branches.
The connection stays there, so you can move between related thoughts without having to decide on a structure upfront.
The basic flow is:
Write → Branch → Take it anywhere
Notes usually aren’t the final destination.
You write something down because you want to do something with it later.
That’s why Spur Notes has Tree Copy: you can take a note and its connected thoughts with you as structured text — into an AI tool, a document, or whatever comes next.
I also wanted it to be something I’d feel comfortable keeping my own notes in, so Spur Notes is local-first, with Version History, Recently Deleted, and export built in.
You can start free without an account, and normal notes are unlimited. Spur Pro adds unlimited branching and cloud sync across devices.
This is the first release, and I’d love to hear how you think in it: what feels natural, what feels awkward, and what you wish branching notes could do next.
Thanks for checking out Spur Notes.
P.S. Android is next.
I’m currently preparing a closed test as part of the Android release process.
