@kristofertm - thanks for the shout out! We built Spread to try and "unbundle" the traditional food delivery marketplace. The actual marketplace itself is commission-free and run at cost (like a public good for restaurants). We have a separate "performance marketing" product (that is completely optional) where we make money. This better aligns the incentives. Restaurants are happy to pay for new customers. They just don't want to be stuck in a system where they are paying 20-30% commissions on repeat customers...forever. We wrote a lot more about the full vision here at our blog: tryspread.medium.com
